Mrs. Leslie Clarke

My teaching career began in a public school with 39 Kindergarteners. It was exhausting, but I loved it. I felt sure I could take on any challenge after that. Three years later, I married my husband, Eric, and followed him to another city where he attended medical school. He is now an Orthopedic Surgeon. I taught preschool until our daughter was born. I began homeschooling her in first grade and her three brothers followed. They kept me busy for the next fourteen years. When our youngest son was in high school, I decided to go back to work.

Finding CBT was truly an answer to prayer. Beginning in 2012, tutoring at CBT has allowed me to combine my classroom and home school experience. At the core of teaching children is recognizing them as being made in the image of God, and therefore, creative and purposeful. This belief is essential to every aspect of educating a child and has carried me through many, varied situations and directed me in general. I have been so grateful for the tutors and board members I work with and for the children and parents I have had the privilege to know and serve.
